Product Highlights
The purpose of this book is to explain (1) how the Bible text was originally written-both for the Hebrew Bible and the Greek New Testament; (2) how the text was transmitted copy after copy; (3) what significant manuscripts have been discovered and published; (4) how textual critics have understood textual transmission and employed textual criticism to produce editions of the Hebrew Bible and Greek New Testament; and, finally, (5) how translators throughout the ages have employed different translation techniques to produce versions in a multitude of languages About the Author Philip Wesley Comfort earned his doctoral degree from the University of South Africa. He has studied English literature, Greek, and New Testament at the Ohio State University and the University of South Africa. He has taught these classes at a number of colleges, including Wheaton College, Trinity Episcopal Seminary, Columbia International University, and Coastal Carolina University.
