Fulfillment Hour is a model in which small groups carry out all of God's Biblically mandated purposes of the church during a specific block of time normally assigned to Sunday School. These purposes are: Evangelism, Ministry/Missions, Discipleship, Fellowship and Worship. About the Authors Dr. Joan W. Johnson has been a member of Greenforest Community Baptist Church for over twenty years. She served as Sunday School Director from 1981-1986; Potential Worker Coordinator from 1987-1989; and as Class Planter from 1991-1997. Presently she serves as Minister of Christian Education. Under her leadership, Greenforest Fulfillment Hour (Sunday School) enrollment has grown from 100 to over 5,000. As a result of her work at the association level (from 1986 to present), numerous churches have requested her help with their Sunday Schools. Joan retired from the Atlanta Public Schools were she served as a school nurse for 24 years. Jackie S. Henderson joined Greenforest Community Baptist Church is 1993. She immediately enrolled in a Fulfillment Hour class and after six short months she began serving as Substitute Shepherd (teacher) in her class and six months later became Adult Division Director. In 1997, she became the superintendent of Fulfillment Hour. Jackie is the Finance Manager for the South East AIDS Training and Education Center at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
