Product Highlights
Very few people learn Greek well enough to read the Greek New Testament unaided, so all Greek students (and former Greek students) can benefit from an accurate interlinear translation of the Greek New Testament. An interlinear will prove to be a quick reference tool for easy and accurate language study. This HCSB Greek-English Reverse Interlinear New Testament will provide the student of God's Word with the following:
Traditionally, multi-line Interlinear Bibles start with the Greek text, but this HCSB Greek-English Reverse Interlinear New Testament starts with the English word as found in the HCSB New Testament. This allows the student of God's Word to begin their study in their native language and move into the Biblical language, which can be a tremendous help for those who are new to language studies! The included HCSB New Testament serves as an optimal-equivalence translation, meaning it is a word-for-word translation styled to clearly communicate to English readers. Based on the Nestle-Aland Novum Testamentum Graece, 27th edition and the United Bible Societies' Greek New Testament, 4th corrected edition, this English translation will provide readers with a reliable English translation of the Greek text. Directly beneath the English translation of the New Testament is the text of the United Bible Societies' Greek New Testament, 4th edition. This Greek text is identical to the text of the Nestle-Aland Novum Testamentum Graece, 27th edition with the exception of a few differences in punctuation. The United Bible Societies' Greek New Testament, was established by an international and interconfessional meeting and is considered the leading edition of the Greek New Testament. This text includes superscript numbers to indicate the word order of the passage in the original language. Following the text of the United Bible Societies' Greek New Testament, 4th edition is a direct transliteration of the Greek text, a Greek rendering of the root word, and a transliteration of the root word. This information will prove to be useful for students who want to seriously examine the definitions, etymology, and contextual meanings of the passage in study. Also included in this reverse interlinear is the Analytical Greek New Testament Morphological Analysis by Barbara and Timothy Friberg. Each word has a grammatical tag that consists primarily of capital letters. The first letter indicates whether the Greek word is a noun (N); verb (V); adjective (A); determiner (i.e. definite article) (D); preposition (P); conjunction (C); or particle (Q). Each subsequent capital letter identifies additional details about that particular part of speech, for example whether or not the noun is masculine or feminine or the conjunction is coordinating, superordinating, or subordinating. This tool is extremely helpful for quickly identifying information about the Greek text. Finally, the HCSB Greek-English Reverse Interlinear New Testament links all words to Strong's numbers and the corresponding Strong's phonetic pronunciation. The Strong's number will provide you with alternate English renderings of the Greek word and other Biblical passages the word appears in. Using the Strong's number, you will also be able to quickly consult additional dictionaries and lexicons in your library for more information. The phonetic pronunciation will serve to help pastors and students render correct pronunciations of each word in question.
