Ray Clendenen, earned a B.A. at Rice University, Th.M. at Dallas Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D.in Linguistics and Ancient History at the University of Texas in Arlington. Clendenen was a professor of Hebrew, Old Testament at Criswell college for ten years . From 1992 to present he is the Director of Academic Publishing, B & H Publishing Group, Nashville, Tennessee.Associate editor, Kenneth A. Mathews, serves as professor of divinity in Old Testament and Hebrew at Alabama’s Beeson Divinity School and as Distinguished Professor of Old Testament Interpretation at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. David Dockery, associate editor, was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama in 1952. After high school, Dockery studied at the University of Alabama-Birmingham, Grace Theological Seminary, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and Texas Christian University. He earned a Ph.D. in Humanities from the University of Texas system. Dockery joined the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary faculty in 1988 as assistant professor of New Testament. He left the seminary for two years to edit the New American Commentary series, he returned to Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1992 to become the Dean of the School of Theology and professor of New Testament theology. Dockery is the author or editor of over twenty books. He serves on the board of Christianity Today and also serves as a consulting editor for the magazine. Dockery and his wife, Lanese, have three sons: Jonathan, Timothy, and Benjamin.
