  • Great for the pastor or serious Bible student
  • Vast in scope, eventually to total 42 volumes
  • Over 40 scholars worked on the complete set
  • Named by the R. C. Ryan Center for Biblical Studies as one of the Best Tools for Preaching and Teaching

"This up-to-date, scholarly volume provides a theologically rich exposition of Genesis 1–11. It is clearly one of the best evangelical commentaries on Genesis to have been written in the twentieth century. No student of Scripture should be without it."

—T. D. Alexander, The Queen's University of Belfast N. Ireland

"This volume skillfully maneuvers the minefield of interpretive difficulties, musters good information, and presents it clearly. The author treats the text with the highest respect and addresses his theological insights to the needs of God's people. Some of its conservative views will draw fire from various theological camps, but the author's thorough research and careful critiques mean that they cannot be ignored. Pastors and teachers will do well to set this volume beside Genesis commentaries by Wenham and Hamilton."

—Robert L. Hubbard, Jr., North Park Theological Seminary
