About the Author
Arthur Taipan Pierson may be best known for succeeding Charles Haddon Spurgeon as pastor of the Metropolitan Tabernacle in London. He served as a Presbyterian pastor, preached over 13,000 sermons, and wrote over fifty books. Some of his best known works include: Many Infallible Proofs: Chapters on the Evidences of Christianity, The Divine Art of Preaching, New Acts of the Apostles, Acts of the Holy Spirit, The Bible and Spiritual Criticism and The Bible and Spiritual Life. He served as an editor of the Scofield Reference Bible and was a staunch advocate for foreign missions.
