"The Five Star Church is a practical introduction manual that will help you implement quality control of the highest level in your ministry."

—Dale E Galloway, author

"Christians have permitted a subtle deception to take root in the Church today; the acceptance of mediocrity. Now there is a clarion call for believers to embrace the high calling of excellence—The Five-Star Church. This book is long overdue and sorely needed."

—John C. Maxwell, Founder, The Injoy Group, Atlanta, Georgia

How does a restaurant or hotel earn a five-star rating? Is it the people? The location? The service? In most cases, it is all of this and more: an overall sense that the customer is to be valued, honored and treated well. Jesus' life was like that: a sacrificial offering of love for those He loved and cared about. In The Five Star Church Stan Toler and Alan Nelson provide innovative ideas on how to transform your church based on Jesus' model of servant hood. With humor and fresh insight, they provide tangible steps on how to build a church whose number one goal is to serve God and others, the marks of a five-star church.

About the Authors
Alan E. Nelson has a BA in biblical literature from Olivet Nazarene University, MA in psychology/communication from CSU-Sacramento and an EdD in leadership from the University of San Diego. He is a successful church planter, former staff member of small and mega-churches, and considered a leadership development specialist. He is the author of 14 books and nearly 200 articles. At the age of 49, he startled many by resigning from a leadership role at a Christian publisher to dedicate the rest of his life to raising ethical, effective leaders through a non-profit organization he founded called KidLead.

Born in West Virginia, Stan Toler was raised in a home that taught the values that have influenced his life. His father was killed in a construction accident when Stan was eleven years old; a traumatic event that shaped his future ministry, and is recounted in his book The Harder I Laugh, the Deeper I Hurt.

During more than 40 years in ministry, Stan taught seminars for Dr. John Maxwell's Injoy Group, a leadership development institute. Toler has written over 70 books, including his best-sellers,God Has Never Failed Me, But He's Sure Scared Me to Death a Few Times; The Buzzards Are Circling, But God's Not Finished With Me Yet; God's Never Late, He's Seldom Early, He's Always Right on Time and his popular Minute Motivator series.

Stan is a best-selling author, international seminar leader, and speaker. He has spent nearly his entire life motivating people to reach their spiritual and leadership potential. Toler's writings form the foundation of his teaching in 50 seminars and conventions each year. He is also speaker and seminar leader for major corporations and organizations, nationally and internationally. His monthly online Leadership Newsletter and Web site have impacted the Internet community with practical principles for personal growth and administrative excellence.
