A storm in a life can get us to our destination with speed or a shipwreck it all depends on the set of the sail. Written while Dr. A.W. Tozer was editor of The Alliance Witness magazine, these thoughtful editorials cover a wide range of topics, including the benefits of prayer, the need for sanctified thinking, trying the spirits, seeking truth with right motives - brief, often pungent, commentary on the religious scene.

About the Author
He was called a 'A 20th century prophet' even in his own lifetime. Tozer began his lifelong pursuit of God at the age of seventeen after hearing a street preacher in Akron, Ohio say: 'If you don't know how to be saved…just call on God.' Upon returning home, he climbed into the attic, and called on God to be saved.

In 1919, five years after his conversion, and without any formal theological training, Tozer accepted an offer to pastor his first church. Thus began his journey of forty-four years of ministry, serving faithfully with the Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA) denomination.

In 1950, Tozer was elected editor of the Alliance Weekly magazine, now called, Alliance Life, the official publication of the C&MA.

Among the many books that he authored, the most well known is the Christian classic The Pursuit of God. His books impress on the reader the possibility and necessity for a deeper relationship with God.
