Gustav Dore, French Romantic Illustrator, (1832-1883) illustrated books and magazines in the 19th century, and these illustrations are a collection of his wood engravings that relate to Biblical scenes. Referred to as an "Artist of the People" by Vincent van Gogh, Gustave Dor� was the greatest illustrator in history.
