You can now limit your home screen to see different collections of books for easier referral. You can choose to either see All Books, Recently Read, Archived, Downloaded and Not Downloaded. To do this, tap All Books at the top of your home screen, and select the option of which books you would like to see.
To easily read a book's description in your library, simply tap the Book Information icon, and you will be able to read the details about the book. If the book is not downloaded, you will also see the option to Download, and if you have already downloaded the book, you see the options of Read Now or Archive (to add to your Archive collection).
If you own a huge library, archiving books can help you save time finding the books you use the most. Archiving a book removes it from your device and hides it from your library.
To archive a book, tap on the Book Information icon. In the box that opens, tap on the option Remove. You will be asked if you want to Remove, Archive or Cancel. Tap Archive. If you would like to remove the book from your device completely, tap Remove.
You can easily find an archived book and move it back when you need it by viewing the Archive collection, tapping on the Book Information icon and selecting either Unarchive or Download.
Back to Reading
Anytime you are on the home screen or in settings,, you will see a bar at the bottom of the screen that says Back to Reading, with your most recent previously read book listed underneath. To open up your book, simply tap the bar and it will take you right back to where you last left off.
More Options in Settings
Instead of having to search through your library every time you open the app, you can turn on the app's new option of defaulting to open the app in the last book you had opened. This saves time and gets you back into your book with no distractions.
If you have a few go-to books, you can easily switch between them by tapping on the Content icon on the bottom of the second pane in the reading window. From there, you can tap on the Add a New Book button and tap on any book you’d like to add to your Carousel. You can filter books by Collections, and even choose books that are not yet downloaded. Just tap any book and if it is not downloaded, it will start downloading and be added to your Carousel.
To remove a book from your Carousel, tap the Edit button, and then tap on the X that appears over the title you would like to remove. Once you have your favorite books selected, you can tap on the Content icon to switch between using your second reading pane to display Cross-References or one of the titles you specially selected.
Search Within Text
A great feature in the app is the ability to search within text. Simply type in a term, tap Search, and then choose which titles you’d like to render search results. The app now also offers offline search for an incredibly fast response time. Your search and results will save, so when you tap on a result but want to go back, simply tap on the search icon again to see your original results.
When you open a Bible, you’ll be given the option to set up Cross-Reference tools to help you in your study. You can choose to have the Study Bible Notes tool, the Commentary tool or the Dictionary tool opened. You’ll see these 3 options as tabs across the top part of the right-hand side of your screen. If you have any Study Bible Notes, Commentaries or Dictionaries in your library, you will see available cross-references appear in a list. These entries will automatically sync with your Bible. You will then have the option to expand the cross-reference or open the book for further reading.

Long-press anywhere within a book, and you will see an option bar pop up with three icons. You can create a new note, bookmark your place or highlight a portion of text. You can color-code your highlights with six different colors or choose to underline the text.

Everything looks a little different on the new iPad and iPhone WORDsearch App, so here are some basic tips about the home screen and what you can do.
Entering Your Library
To enter your library, tap on the WORDsearch app’s icon.
The app will open to the home page with your books showing in Library View. NOTE: This is not the store like in the old app, you are viewing the books you own. It will show All Books by default.
You can tap on a book's Book Information icon to read more information about the title and also download or open the book. If you are connected to the internet and would like to live stream your book, just tap on the cover to open it.
Downloading a Book
To download a book, simply tap any book's cover. If the cover looks like a turning page with a little cloud (cloud indicator) in the corner, the book is not downloaded.
Another way to download books is to tap All Books at the top of the screen, and then select Not Downloaded. You will now see all of the books that have not been downloaded. Click on a book to automatically start a download. You will see the download indicator of a blue circle to show you when it has finished downloading. NOTE: Since you are in Not Downloaded, your book will disappear once it is finished. To open the book, go to All Books, Downloaded and then tap on the book cover. If you would like to read more information before you start the download, tap on the Book Information icon to read the description. You will also see the option to download from there.
To cancel a download that is in progress, tap on the download indicator and you will be given the option to stop the download.
You can also tap on the Book Information icon to tell if a book is downloaded or not. If the book is not downloaded, the picture of the cover will be like a turning page and have a cloud indicator, and you will see the option to download.
Finding a Book in the Library
You can now limit your home screen to see different collections of your books for easier referral. You can choose to either see All Books, Recently Read, Archived, Downloaded and Not Downloaded. To do this, tap All Books at the top of your home screen, and select the option of which books you would like to see.
To see your books in their different categories, from the home screen, tap on Categories in the bottom right of the screen. From here, you can choose Bibles, Christian Living, Commentaries, etc.
Another way to find a book in your library is to use the Search bar at the top of the home screen. The Search bar will filter your books by title, author or short name so that you don’t have to look through all of your books. NEW! The updated search feature is quicker and organized by category.
You can access the store by touching the shopping cart icon at the top of the screen.
To go back to the library from the store, touch Library.
To change settings, log-in to other accounts, and sync your library, touch the little head icon in the left-hand corner of the home screen.

This is also where you can set your Default Bible (the Bible translation that will pop-up when you touch a Bible reference in a commentary or book in the reading pane).
To set your Default Bible, tap Settings, then Default Translation to choose which one you want. All Bibles are now available for Default. If they are not downloaded, they will be in a lighter font with a picture of down arrow next to them. If the Bible you would like is already downloaded to your library, just tap on the Bible.
