Product Details

Commissioned in 1975 by Thomas Nelson Publishers, one hundred and thirty respected Bible scholars, church leaders, and lay Christians worked for seven years to create a completely new, modern translation of Scripture. They wanted a translation that would retain the purity and stylistic beauty of the original King James Version. With unyielding faithfulness to the original Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic texts, the translators applied the most recent research in archeology, linguistics, and textual studies. As a result, in 1982, the New King James Version was published and is ideal for study, teaching, personal reading, and congregational use.

Critical Reviews

I was delighted ... I have read the entire New Testament and found it to be true to the spirit and letter of the King James Version.
