Hebrews 12 clearly warns believers to be on their guard against bitterness, lest any root of it grow up and defile many. The root of bitterness that is growing in many lives must be exposed for what it is and the havoc it wreaks. The fight against bitterness, however, is not an easy one. Bitterness is a powerful enemy, and, in the cleansing process, one may find the devastating emotional, spiritual, and social consequences it has left.
In Bound by Bitterness, Donald Cantrell seeks to explain what bitterness is, how it comes into a believer's life, the choice one has when confronted with it, what it brings with it, and the stories of those who have overcome its horrible grasp.
