About the Author
John Daniel Jones (1865-1942) was ordained in 1889 and was one of England's most distinguished preachers. He pastored in Lincoln, was a New Testament lecturer at Nottingham Theological Institute, and served for forty years at the Richmond Hill Congregational Church in Bournemouth. Known as "Jones of Bournemouth," he wrote several books, including a Commentary on Mark and The Gospel of the Sovereignty.
His ministry earned him the love and respect of all who knew him, and who now is one of the most widely read British evangelicals.
