- Two volume set
Godet's commentary on Romans begins with a thorough introduction on the life of the Apostle Paul, the church of Rome, the letter to the Romans, the arrangement and plan of the letter, and the preservation of the text. Following the introduction, Godet begins his commentary. Verse-by-verse Godet examines each passage in light of other biblical texts, original language manuscripts, academic works, and other commentaries. The author is careful to examine the finer points of the text within the framework of the whole Word of God.
