Product Details

Published in 1910, the Louis Segond Bible was translated from the original Hebrew and Greek to French, and is comparable to the English King James Version.

Louis Segond, a Swiss theologian, was commissioned by the Vénérable Compagnie des Pasteurs de Genève to first translate the Old Testament into French. Two volumes were published in 1871, with the New Testament translated as a separate enterprise in 1880. After the text was reviewed by the experts of the time, the 1910 revision was available, and has become one of the most popular French Bibles.
