However, it will use the same books and documents and other personal items from your older WORDsearch program, so don't uninstall your older program. If you do not Keep the Unlocks and the Books, you will have to re unlock and re download your books all over again. Why do some of my books have red question marks by them?

The red question mark means you have not yet downloaded that book.

Follow the steps below to install the book:

How to Install Books in your Library
  1. Click on a book with a red question mark next to it
  2. When the Missing Book Installer program window appears, do one of the following
Click on "Install all missing books"
or
Click on "Install from CD" or "Install from Internet".

If you clicked on "Install from CD," the Book Installer window will appear. At his point, insert an eBook library DVD or our eBook Library Supplemental DVD and click on the button "Begin Searching" to begin the install process. The Book Installer program will scan your library DVD for the books you own and install them. If your book is not on that Library DVD, you will be prompted to remove it and insert another eBook library DVD.

If you clicked on "Install from Internet", the "Download" window will appear and show you the progress of the books that are being downloaded.

If you have problems downloading your books from the Internet, click on this link for assistance:" Problems Downloading Books "

When I try to install books from the eBook library DVDs, I get a message, "No books were installed from this disk, please insert another Disk or press the Done Button."

Insert another eBook library DVD, wait about 30 seconds for your computer to recognize the DVD then try again.

This message could also mean that the Missing Book Installer program is scanning the wrong drive. Find out what the drive letter is for your DVD drive then change the drive letter in the Book installer dialog window to that drive letter.

"Booklist File is Missing"

This error can occur after you uninstall WORDsearch 7, WORDsearch 8 or WORDsearch 9, QuickVerse 10, WORDsearch Basic or Bible Explorer after you have installed WORDsearch 10.

The fix is to reinstall WORDsearch 10 and unlock your books again.

Q: Why does this problem occur?

A: When WORDsearch 10 was installed, it detected one of your other versions of WORDsearch or Bible Explorer or QuickVerse 10 and attached itself to the files in that version. When the previous version was uninstalled, those critical files that WORDsearch 10 was using to start up (such as the file "Booklist") are not there, thus causing the error and inability to start WS10.

Again, the fix is to reinstall WORDsearch 10 and unlock your books. Call our Customer Service Department at 1-800-888-9898 and ask them for the instructions to re download and install WORDsearch 10 again.

More WORDsearch 10 Frequently Asked Questions

"What is this indexing message I keep seeing?"

At the bottom of my screen I see a progression bar that says Indexing Step 2 of 5. What is it doing? Can I still use the program or do I have to wait for it to finish?

First of all, Indexing makes the Search feature run faster so you want indexing.

Second, WS10 runs the indexing process when you first install your books, or add a new book, or delete a book, or whenever you update a book in your Library.

During the Indexing process, you can safely use all of the WORDsearch 10 program except the Search feature. You cannot Search a book until it has been indexed.

NOTE: You will need about 5 GBs of free space on your hard disk to allow Indexing to complete. Also, the more books you have, the longer it takes to finish Indexing.

Is there a way to update all my books at once instead of one book at a time?

Yes. If you follow the steps below, you can make WORDsearch 10 check your entire Library to see if any of your books need to be updated then download all those books for you.

  1. Start the WORDsearch 10 program
  2. Enter the WORDsearch 10 Library
  3. Click on "Help"

"Where are my books? Where is the Library Window?"

Look to the left. Along the left hand side of the program window is the Resources bar. It has the word "Resources" written on it. Click on it to open the Resources Window. In it, you will find the Library section with category folders and books inside the category folders.

You can also press the "Ctrl" and the "L" keys on your keyboard, at the same time, to open the Resources window to find your books.

Another way to make the Resources window appear is by click on "View" in the upper left corner of the program window, in main menu, then clicking on "Resources (Pinned)."

If you still feel like you are missing books, call our Customer Service Department at 1-800-888-9898 and tell them what books you are missing. Ask them where these books are supposed to appear.
